Losing Weight

author Posted by: Lambert on date Nov 15th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy
Oh, that great fight to lose weight! It seems like an everyday battle that continues throughout the years. Many have fallen, but few have tasted victory.

Or maybe they tasted too much?

Hey it’s not really that bad. You just need to get motivated and start doing something about it right away. Take action now. Don’t wait because tomorrow never comes. It’s always today.

Most of us have all struggled with weight loss at some point in our lives. We have found out that’s it’s not that easy to lose weight. You never really have been satisfied with your weight, but in our modern lifestyle it’s harder then ever to lose it.

We have become accustomed to all the conveniences that we have been blessed with. We have cars, telephones, cell phones, email and the internet.

We no longer have to grow our own crops. A quick run to the local supermarket is all we need to fill up on supplies for weeks.

Ah! Now there’s the problem in part.

We no longer get the exercise that we need. We don’t have to toil the ground in fear of starving. Everything is a bit too convenient.

Walk to a friend’s house or to the local market? Are you nuts! Just make a call or jump in the car.  If you are really daring do both at once.

That’s about how most of us operate today.

I saw more than a few people run off the road texting. One lady almost crashed her car a few times. We were behind her and had to beep at her every time she almost hit a mailbox or tree. Not sure how she made it through life so far. The angels must be with her.

 Okay back on subject.

Anyhow if you really want to lose weight, you don’t have to give up all of your conveniences. But you should make an effort to exercise and eat quality food.

As far as exercising, do something you enjoy. You could go for walks, garden or participate in sports.

You want to eat whole foods as much as possible. Try to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and include some raw foods. Nuts are great.

Go for whole grains, fresh fruit and veggies. Drink enough water and get some exercise. You will be amazed at how much better you will feel and look.

If you can change to this kind of lifestyle then you will be less stressful, have more energy, look great and feel wonderful.

So go ahead and start losing weight today the safe, natural and lasting way.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy- My Experience

author Posted by: Lambert on date Nov 10th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy

More people will be helped with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy or HBOT in the near future. What is HBOT? HBOT is 100% oxygen administered to the entire body at greater than normal atmospheric pressure. What conditions benefit from being treated with HBOT? Crohn’s Disease, Non-Healing Wounds, Fibromyalgia, Stroke, Autism, Pre/Post Surgical Procedures, Chronic Pain, Tramatic Brain Injury, Accelerated Healing, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, Adjunct to Physical Therapy and many more.

I tried it after I had my fourth seizure in the middle of the night. I couldn’t wake up from that until I ended up in the hospital. My other three seizures were like that also..I wasn’t getting proper blood flow to my brain due to my mild case of cerebral palsy. I would feel pressure in my head and joints from inadequate blood supply throughout the day. Some days were better than others.

I went to HBOT looking for relief from my seizures and also for depression that I was feeling because of my health problems. I couldn’t believe the results. In a week my depression and headaches starting clearing up.  My legs started feeling lighter and I found it easier to walk with a normal stride instead of a slight limp like I’ve had since childhood due to my cerebral palsy.  In fact, I love walking now even if it’s just around the yard.

Let me tell you about HBOT now. I was put inside a chamber, laying down, and then air pressure was gradually increased. I could look outside the chamber, sleep or usually I was watching TV. It was very comfortable. When the air pressure was gradually increased, at the beginning and at the end, was the only time I felt a slight discomfort. It’s like the feeling of fullness in your ears when you’re in a plane and it takes off. It’s nothing to worry about. It goes away soon. The HBOT treatment lasts about 1-1/2 hours. You can talk back and forth to the technician using a handset if you need to.

I really believe that HBOT is going to be the treatment of the future. I know it has worked wonders for me and other people that were getting treatments at the center. So why not give it a try if you have a health problem like the ones listed. To find a center, just look on the web under Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.

The Power Of PRAYER

author Posted by: Lambert on date Nov 9th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy

The world has so much evil and craziness these days that I try to say prayers daily. I pray that some  people  start to think about their thoughts and actions because changing those can make a big improvement in what’s going on in our world. I pray that we’ll end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan because innocent people are dying everyday and for what?

I pray  for a change in  our economic future. Car industries aren’t going to survive and more people are going to be losing their jobs. Jobs are going to other countries when we should be keeping them  here in America. Houses are foreclosed and people have nowhere to live. Some people live in their cars or at a relatives houses. People have no food to eat so they have to go to soup kitchens if they are near one or go hungry.

Imagine if more people would pray for changes in this world what it could do. Give some positive vibes out into the universe and see what we get back. It’s doesn’t hurt to do that and it will make you feel like you’re making a difference in your own life and the lives of others. It only takes me five minutes to say some prayers and I feel like God is listening in, blessing me and helping me cope with the problems I have in this world. I pray more for worldly affairs lately than what will happen to me on a daily basis.

Prayer helps me put my mind at ease when I’m having a really busy day and my mind is in 10 places at once. It helps too when I’m mad at a person when they cut me off in traffic. When I know a person isn’t going to give me a break and I just want to get to know them, my prayer helps me realize that it’s them that needs the prayers. Maybe they’re having a bad day also and they don’t know how to deal with it.

This world is having a monetary collapse and it needs every one of us to believe that their prayers will help make it right. Send them out into the universe and see what comes back to us. I believe it will be a great change that we will see. So whenever you have a minute or two to spare just say a prayer or talk to God and ask Him to help us out here. We can sure use some help.

What You Need To Know About Staying Young and Healthy

author Posted by: Lambert on date Nov 5th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy

The “fountain of youth ” has not been really discovered and of course it remains just a part of the legend but of course, who would not want to stay and look young forever? Our younger days are the days when we are most vigorous, vibrant, and attractive. But the truth is we all know we will all reach old age and that is inevitable.

The other truth is, with the advances in science and technology, we can still look and feel youthful even in those old days we fear we will be looking so helplessly ugly, weak, and with that gray hair. Yes, we aging is gracefully is possible. Sort of like postponing those dreaded gray hair days and still keep the same glowing energy as it was during those younger years.

The research for the secret to delay aging dates back to as far as the days of the pharaohs in Egypt, the ancient dynasties in China, and even those ancient civilizations in the Americas. That is looking into the best combination of secret herbs, exercise, the right kinds of food, and of course the search for that legendary fountain of youth that will forever halt the aging process altogether.

But of course the latter one remains a legend in its most literal sense. It would specifically mean to modern scientific and medical research as that process of delaying and reversing the effects of aging such as keeping the same physical glow and appearance, that mental alertness and eradicating the diseases that most often are associated with the aging process. The latter one would be the key of course and that is keeping the immune system well functioning to maintain the normal processes and functions of the body and with this successfully attained, keeping that youthful glow and vitality will follow. And yes anti aging is not a myth. There is much hope. Beyond any magic or quick surgery, there are actually natural ways to do this if only we all understand the needs and the proper functions of the body. Science will tell us that everything is all in nature.

Before keeping in mind that science can do magical wonders to stop you from growing old, you have to understand some basic facts like aging as a natural and continuous process and that it increases with time and it cannot possibly be stopped but of course it can be slowed down. The anti aging process simply goes back to some health basics such as following a certain lifestyle on food, exercise, and adequate rest, followed of course by some treatment, medicines, and possibly surgery and therapy.

Time and again it is emphasized that we really are with what we eat and the strength of our immune system depends on what we take in. Fibers are most recommended and extra calories should be shelved. It means a well balanced diet with all the necessary elements especially vitamins and minerals will surely keep your body stronger and more resistant to diseases that will come in number as your age increases. Physical and mental exercise will also be helpful in keeping you fit and younger looking and of course protect you from cardio vascular illnesses that are sometimes propelled by inactivity. Mental exercises would include yoga and meditation, which for centuries have been proven to effective in releasing stress, improving blood circulation and maintaining energy and concentration, which oftentimes is common as one comes of age. As for maintaining that younger looking skin, proper and natural skin care is essential to protect the skin from dirt and dead cells that aggravate that old looking self.

Keeping the skin protected from pollution and the harmful UV rays of the sun is also necessary to maintain the skin’s natural glow. Remember that a more youthful physical appearance begins with a healthy skin. All these and more are effective with of course some supplements like anti aging herbs, vitamin supplements, and other anti aging supplements.

One of the breakthroughs in oral supplements that aid slowing down aging is Proxacine developed by Dr. James Chappell. With Dr. Chappell’s 35 years in natural healing, Proxacine, has been proven to be one of the most advanced and most scientifically well-researched formulation of the finest ingredients that help slow down the aging process, reduce pain, and enhance the immune system that will surely be of big help to other necessary things that one needs to practice to make that “aging gracefully” title realized.

At the end of the day, staying young also means staying positive and counting all the good days spent during the early years and counting the blessings that one has received. Reaching those golden years in life will be more fruitful and your anti aging process will be more satisfying if you have lived your life to the fullest and discarding all the regrets and negative vibes that might have come your way.

Lose Weight Programs

author Posted by: Lambert on date Oct 13th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy

Being overweight is no laughing matter. Obesity is becoming an epidemic and is responsible for a ton of health problems including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and even cancer. There may be no single cause for the rise of obesity, but the increase of technology and the convenience of “fast food” are certainly major factors. So if you are obese or even just a little bit overweight, you need to start taking your weight problem seriously. If you don’t, the pounds will pack on and your health will decline. Read on to discover the natural way to lose weight.

First of all, let’s get one thing straight. Fad diets won’t work. You may drop the weight initially on a fad diet, but when you have lost the weight, what is going to prevent you from putting the weight back on? Everyone wants an easy answer to weight loss, but unfortunately there is no magic button or magic pill that we can take to make the pounds drop off.

Think about this, how long did it take you to put on that excess weight? One week? Two weeks? Six months? Unless you had a non-stop high fat eating marathon, you probably progressively gained weight over a period of months or years. So if it took you a while to put the weight on, why would you think that it would only take a few weeks to take it back off. So if you want to lose the weight and keep it off, you need to be patient.

The best way to lose weight and keep it off is to change the way you eat. Eliminate those fast food meals. If you want to be shocked, look up how many calories your favorite fast food meal contains. Now do you see why you are gaining weight? These foods are high in calories, high in fat and high in sodium. The only they are not high in is nutrition. So the first step to lose weight the natural way is to stop the fast food dining.

Learn how to prepare delicious, healthy meals at home. Instead of snacking on those yummy chips and chocolate bars, try eating fruits and veggies. Eat six small healthy meals a day instead of two or three large meals. This is the most important tip for weight loss. Eating more meals will increase your metabolism and help it to burn off the excess fat.

Try drinking green tea instead of sodas. Green tea has been shown to increase your metabolism and it is also a great antioxidant that can help you fight off certain diseases. It is also critical that you start taking vitamins and supplements. Choose a good source of all natural supplements and start taking them everyday. You will feel healthier and have more energy.

So if you are looking for that magic bullet that will make you lose weight, stop looking, it doesn’t exist. The only way to lose weight and keep it off for good is to start eating a healthy diet.

Himalayan Salt Rock Crystal Lamps for Your Health

author Posted by: Lambert on date Sep 26th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy

Salt crystal lamps can be beneficial to your health. Himalayan rock crystal lamps have been known to help with many health problems such as sinuses, hypertension, respiratory problems, arthritis, migraines, liver conditions and many more.

These lamps are well known for relieving allergies. There are salt mines that are used for just this purpose. People actually travel deep into the earth to acquire the benefits of salt crystals.

These lamps are made from salt crystal rocks. You can purchase them as candle holders or lamps. The electric lamps may be safer and apparently will work better, although the candles do give off a pleasant flickering light.

These salt lamps are made from salt crystal rocks that nature formed hundreds of millions of years ago. They are mined with caution to preserve their purity and natural beauty. They are pleasant to look at with their soft, warm light and unique appearance.

Salt lamps work like ionizers but without the negative aspects like ozone that unnatural ionizers produce. The salt lamps also possess a healthier frequency of about 100-160Hz. This is closer to our brain frequency of only 8 Hz.

We are bombarded with many higher frequencies every day. The unnatural sources are TVs, radio waves, microwaves, cell phones and computers. These higher frequencies can create nervousness, cancer, insomnia and other diseases.

Salt crystals help fight against these other higher frequencies. The salt lamps also create negative ions that bind to the excess positive ions. This brings the environment closer to nature.

You may have felt more refreshed after a shower or could tell how much cleaner the air was after a rain. This is because of the negative ions produced in these situations. Niagara Falls must produce quite a lot of these negative ions.

The salt lamps can help us by correcting the ions in the air, but also the color it produces though the crystals are therapeutic. The third way is by bringing the immediate surroundings back to earth’s natural oscillation frequency.

Although the lamps may not give the benefits of the salt mines, they are more convenient for most people. The larger lamps work well up to 10 feet or so. The closer you are the better. You could use several lamps to extend this distant.

Many people have found fast relief from these salt lamps. They are affordable for most individuals.

Just think of all the manmade inventions that cause pollution to our earth. Besides the pollution you can see, there’s more that your body can feel such as positive ions, incredibly high frequencies and unnatural lighting.

You can fight back and help balance your own little world by making it more natural. One of your tools could be these Himalayan salt rock crystal lamps.

Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy

author Posted by: Lambert on date Sep 19th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Think Healthy

Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy could be the answer to your prayers, especially when nothing else has worked for you. Many have seen fantastic results from this procedure.

We will be discussion the process, benefits and treatments of Hyperbarics and what it can do for you or a loved one.

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)? Well, HBOT is the principle of using 100% oxygen under pressure inside a chamber. The patient lies down on a cot that is rolled into the clear chamber. The patient can easily see outside and there is a monitor inside so that TV or a movie can be watch during the process. A handset makes it easy to communicate with the technician.

The process consists of increasing pressure, which is called descending, then maintains that pressure for around 60 minutes, then releasing the pressure, which is ascending. Think of this as a scuba diver descending into the sea slowing then ascending slowly so that they don’t get the bends.

The only discomfort usually is the pressure in the ears like in a plane or ascending up high in the mountains.

Inside the chamber the pressurized oxygen is infused into the patient to start the healing process. The body tissues will absorb oxygen much more readily in this environment. This can reduce inflammation and begin the healing process.

It’s believed that this process will stimulate new blood vessel growth and even stem cells after forty treatments. Each treatment usually will last around one hour.

The increased oxygen nourishes the cells. New capillaries are grown that will help the flow of blood and life giving oxygen to damaged areas, thus helping you to heal yourself.

Many people that have been treated have been eager to share their stories and spread the word about Hyperbarics.

HBOT has helped many conditions such as, strokes, injuries, carbon monoxide poisoning, cerebral palsy, birth traumas and more.

Several people have seen positive results with HBOT and it seems to be permanent after 40 treatments.

Hyperbarics is approved by the FDA for some treatments such as carbon dioxide poisoning and gas embolism, but is considered experimental for many others.

If you have been searching for a miracle then take a closer look at HBOT today.

If you live in Michigan then check out Oxford HBOT in South Lyons. They are very caring. All the patients there are kind and appreciative of the results that Tami and Bruce have provided for them.
